The Prophurst Team
Bram Pollock – Principal & Managing Director
Livestock & Rural Property Sales, Auctioneer
Bram is an experienced livestock & property marketing agent, auctioneer, AuctionsPlus Assessor, and a private pilot.
He’s been in the livestock and property industry for over 30 years. Before starting Prophurst Pty Ltd in 2006, Bram started his career in the livestock industry based at Innisfail abattoir. Over a nine year period Bram worked his way up through the ranks, Stockman, headstockman cadet buyer and onto a livestock buyer.
From 1997 – 1998 Bram was based in Katherine purchasing slaughter cattle from Western Australia, Northern South Australia and the Northern Territory. On his return from the NT Bram became involved in the live export industry where he accompanied livestock on vessels to Indonesia, Philippines and West Papua.
In 2000 Bram moved to Cloncurry, Western Queensland where he spent 5 years honing his skills as a livestock and property agent with one of the major pastoral houses.
Bram and his wife Kelly now call Tolga home, on the Atherton Tablelands.
Ian Bradford – Livestock Sales & Auctioneer
Ian is Prophurst’s auctioneer and sales agent and has been in the cattle industry all his life. He’s travelled extensively throughout Northern Australia & the Asia-Pacific buying, selling & delivering cattle for clients. Ian managed cattle stations in the Northern Territory before contract buying export cattle for nine years. He then managed an export depot which sends live cattle to all parts of Southeast Asia. Having dealt with all levels of the supply chain, Ian is one of the most well rounded and experienced agent you could seek advice from with live export.
In 2022 Ian left the Northern Territory to take up a roll with Prophurst, and is constantly working to get the best outcomes for his clients. As a previous producer himself he understands the ups and downs of the industry and the importance of keeping on top of the ongoing situations as they arise in the industry.
Kate Knowles – Livestock Sales
Atherton Tablelands local Kate Knowles.
Leaving school at an early age Kate pursued her career in the cattle industry, working on cattle stations and feedlots throughout Queensland, New South Wales and the Northern Territory. Kate furthered her career and started a traineeship with a large pastoral house before returning to Far North Queensland where she enjoyed three successful years as a livestock salesperson based out of Mareeba/Tolga gaining valuable knowledge of Sale yard operations, live export and private treaty’s sales.
Wanting a change of pace, Kate turned her hand at contract mustering around Far North Queensland before relocating to central Queensland where she and her partner Matt worked on a breeding and fattening property over a three year period. Returning to the Far North, Kate and Matt managed a large cattle operation West of Mareeba.
In 2023 Kate, and husband Matt, with their two daughters Abbey and Molly returned back to the Atherton Tablelands to raise their family and pursue other career opportunities.
